4 Summer Recipes You Can Make for Yummy Backyard BBQs

Summer is finally here and you know what that means; hot weather, some quality time on the beach, and yummy backyard BBQs. In this article, we will suggest some backyard BBQ recipes that you can try to prepare and impress your family and friends with.

  1. Grilled Flank Steak and Vegetables

First, you need to get a small bowl and mix some olive oil with rosemary, red wine vinegar and garlic in addition to salt and pepper. Then, season flank steak with paprika in addition to 1 tablespoon of canola oil and season some salt and pepper to taste. Then, get the grill on to preheat (medium-high heat). With 2 spoons of canola oil, brush corn, zucchini and tomatoes and season with salt and pepper. Add flank steak to grill and keep each side for around 6-7 minutes (flip it only once). After the grilling, let it rest for 5 minutes. The last step is preparing vegetables on the grill with occasional turning. Add corn zucchini, and tomatoes and grill them until they get lightly charred all over and tender. Your meal is almost ready; drizzle it with the olive oil mixture and serve immediately.

  • Grilled Salmon with Basil Butter and Broccolini

This recipe takes no more than 12 minutes of preparation. The ingredients are; 2 6-8 skin-removed salmon filets, 6 ounces broccolini, olive oil, 2-3 minced basil leaves, 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter, 1 minced garlic clove, and salt and pepper to taste.

To prepare the meal, start by putting the compound butter in a microwave safe and microwave for no more than 15 seconds. Combine mashed half the garlic and minced basil then place it on a small sheet of tinfoil and roll up. Then, place it in the fridge until ready to serve.

Get the grill ready and preheat with medium-high heat. Both sides of the salmon filets should be seasoned with salt and pepper to taste and set aside. The broccolini should also be prepared in a bowl and tossed with olive oil and the remaining garlic. After brushing the grilling surface with olive oil, the salmon should be grilled for no less than 6 minutes. As it gets grilled, you should add the broccolini and keep it until it gets charred.

The final step is to top one side of the grilled salmons with a slice of basil butter and the other with grilled broccolini.

  • White Sangria

The summer wine drink is an absolute delight for every BBQ party. To prepare it, you need to pour in whatever white wine you have and mix it with a ½ cup of brandy, ¼ cup orange liquor and 2 tablespoons of sugar. As soon as the sugar gets dissolved, add some orange juice and club soda.

  • Grilled Banana Boats

After some mind-blowing grilled steak or salmon, nothing can beat a delicious dessert, especially when it’s easy to prepare. This is where grilled banana boats will complete your yummy meal. All you need is unpeeled bananas, miniature chocolate chips, marshmallows, and walnuts.

To prepare it, you need to cut the banana (unpeeled) lengthwise but half the way in. Then, fill the opened banana with as much chocolate, walnuts, and marshmallows you wish. Finally, grill the filled bananas covered for 7-8 minutes until chocolate and marshmallows melt.
